Just got dumped - toy recommendations?

Hey everyone!
I just got dumped by the person I was hoping to spend these cold winter months having sex with, and what with the pandemic and all I don’t really see a new partner in my near future. I’m looking to treat myself to something to fill that void (the void being my vagina - couldn’t resist, sorry!). I’m pretty new to toys, but I think ideally something penetrative that isn’t too pricy :sparkling_heart:
Thank you!

Oh man, sucks but also silver lining is you get to buy new toys and fill your own void (ha, I’m going to steal that joke from now on.)

We actually have a bunch of lists on the Spectrum site that would be perfect for browsing. Here are a few that might yield some good finds:

For Beginners: https://spectrumboutique.com/lists-toys/sex-toys-beginners
Best Sellers: https://spectrumboutique.com/lists-toys/best-sellers
Toys under $50: https://spectrumboutique.com/lists-toys/sex-toys-under-50-dollars
And my favorite, the sale page: https://spectrumboutique.com/lists-toys/sale

Also we just got done putting up our Holiday staff wish list, including a list from me, which are worth checking out: https://spectrumboutique.com/lists-toys/holidays

When you say penetrative, do you want vibrating or no? Any clitoral stimulation?

Thank you for this!! Will check out all those lists. Didn’t know Spectrum had a sale page :eyes:
I’ve actually never used a vibrator, so I’m not sure! Maybe now’s the time to try one out…

Yay! Welcome to the vast world of vibrators. There are so many types and toys and bells and whistles. I’d first think about what type of design and motions and movements you enjoy (IE: I don’t really orgasm from penetration, so I like toys that focus on clitoral stimulation, and usually more hard material vs. a toy that is flexible).

So, you’re actually in luck because we just sent out an email yesterday that we’re doing 25% off all Blush products this month! Blush is a great affordable brand, which if you’re wanting to test out a few different types of toys to see what you like before investing in something, they are wonderful for that. Just use the code MAKINGMEBLUSH and you’ll get the 25% off their products in your cart. Here are some of my favorites from them:

  1. Noje G Slim. This is exactly like one of my first vibes. The angle and tip shape is great for direct clitoral stimulation, and it’s fun for g-spot play as well. For a harder material basic toy, it’s a winner: https://spectrumboutique.com/blush-noje-g-slim-rechargeable-vibrator.html

  2. Noje 3 min wand! If you’re interested in a wand type of vibe (similar in design to the classic hitachi but not as intense of a motor), this is a great one to test out. It has a longer shaft than some of their other wands, and it’s a good price point for testing out the wand style: https://spectrumboutique.com/blush-noje-w3-powerful-mini-wand-vibrator.html

  3. Wellness G Ball Vibrator. This is a great curved vibe with 10 different settings but also has this interesting rolling ball motion in the tip, which is a different take on the classic design: https://spectrumboutique.com/blush-wellness-rolling-g-ball-vibrator.html (If the rolling ball isn’t your jam, this would be a good option if you still like the design: https://spectrumboutique.com/blush-aria-magnify-rechargeable-silicone-vibrator.html)

  4. Impressions N4. If you’re looking for something that is more a vibrating dildo, this is great. It has a suction base so you can ride hands free, but still has a vibrating function. I’m more into traditional vibrators, but if you want something more like a dildo, this is great: https://spectrumboutique.com/blush-nude-impressions-n4-silicone-suction-cup-vibrator.html

  5. Aria Electrify. If you want to check out a rabbit style vibe, this is a great one. Once again, not really my jam, but if that interest you, a great entry into it: https://spectrumboutique.com/blush-aria-electrify.html (And if you like that style, I would highly suggest then checking out the Lush Iris, which is a rabbit style but also has a puff function with the clit and a warming affect as well: https://spectrumboutique.com/blush-lush-iris-silicone-warming-suction-and-thrusting-dual-vibrator.html)

  6. Aria Flutter Tongue. Toys that mimic oral with tongue flicking motions have been really popular the past few years, and this is a great entry into that type of toy: https://spectrumboutique.com/aria-flutter-tongue-vibrating-silicone-clitoral-simulator.html

  7. Luxe Marco. If you’re looking for some girth, this is a good toy. Simple, but a bit thicker if that is something you’d like: https://spectrumboutique.com/blush-luxe-marco-girthy-silicone-vibrator.html

Also don’t forget to get lube! I didn’t use lube at the start with toys, and I don’t always use it, but man it can make all the difference! My favorite brand is Sliquid, they have a bunch of types, but they also a sell a variety pack if you want to give a few of their types a go: https://spectrumboutique.com/sliquid-lube-cube-sampler.html

And last but not least, these bags are great for toy storage too: https://spectrumboutique.com/blush-safe-sex-antibacterial-toy-bag.html

Let me know if you have any questions, so jazzed for your first vibrator, they’re great!
